Woods SmartCord Heat-Sensing Extension Cord monitors and senses excessive heat in outlets and plugs created by overloading, poor connections and improper use. When excessive heat is detected an audible alarm is sounded and a warning light is illuminated alerting the homeowner to a possible issue before it becomes dangerous. The SmartCord features Heat Sensor Technology and alerts on both ends of the cord, a self-test button on each end of the cord and safety shutters that stop access to unused outlets. Features a strain relief at each end.
